All for Charity
As I said in the past I've cancelled Christmas. Thanks to all those who filled in the poll, I've narrowed the choice down and would like you all to (in the spirit of whatever is most suited to you) select your favourite.

I'll then perform a complex algorithm and give some money in (the spirit of whatever is most suited to you) for the benefit of others.

Thanks - and feel free, if you were going to send a card, present or even nod in my general direction - to donate to a charity from this list instead.

Poll #404213 Christmas Cheer!

I'd tick Amnesty but I've learned from a reliable source that much of their donations goes on chugger companies and admin. Hence my donation to Human Rights Watch instead.

Thanks for the pointer. I'll consider using the right-of-it-being-my-final-decision based on a bit more research.

None of those are my favourite but ho, hum. Exposing my profound ignorance (and laziness cos I can't be bothered to look it up), who is Dr Hadwen?

"The UK's leading medical research charity without using animals. Funding non-animal research and alternatives to animal testing, animal experiments and vivisection."

Oh no, we're losing! I voted for Dr. Hadwen Trust (anyone who doesn't know, visit http://www.drhadwentrust.org.uk) although I'd also have liked to vote for NCDL as well. Any support to help animals and help stop animal cruelty would be wholly appreciated by me. I have heaps of Dr. Hadwen Trust leaflets if anyone wants me to send them one with info on although you can also just visit the site. If you don't donate to them please visit their http://www.crueltyfreeshop.com which they have set up where they sell all sorts of cool products (make-up, clothing, food, bodycare etc etc). They have a free catalogue they can send you with even more good stuff on it. Tell 'em Shari Black Velvet recommended them.

How about giving half to one 'human' charity/org and half to one of the animal charities/orgs?

If there's a vote - there's a donation - it's not a race.

Well yeah, but obviously we each have our prefered choice if you're only giving one donation and some of us would obviously reckon certain orgs could do with it more than others. Obviously they could all do with it, but... well, I'd just really like to see one of the organisations that stop cruelty to animals have it (I'm guessing the tigers one is also but I don't know much about that one). Everyone always seems to give to human charities. The general public are always raising money for people funds - and while that is cool, a lot of people don't care about animal cruelty - especially the government with regards to testing on animals. So I really, really would like Dr. Hadwen Trust to get it if you only have one donation to give. I personally am an NCDL member so they a regular donation from me. Dr. Hadwen Trust is a lesser known organisation - compared to Shelter etc - so I think it could really do with the donation.

Oh hold on, I'm confused. lol. So any of the ones you listed gets an automatic donation if they get a vote? Ok... I was thinking that only the one that got the most votes would get a donation.

(I'm a spazz... I'm in a rush, got a gig tonight and not reading things properly!)

At least one vote means I'll give some money.

Perhaps if Christmas was a charity people would be less inclined to cancel it?

They do say it's the giving that counts so why cancel Christmas?

Next you will be cancelling holidays and weekends? See where uber-management thinking gets you.
