Zen-Mixing
That was a pleasant and succesful trip out - for a Wednesday night it was good to see so many people out - it was quite a challenge to get rid of them but with some well chosen music I had them leaving the pub in droves during my second set.

Music wise I can't actually remember what order I played stuff in, but hopefully thehappygoth will have rescued the bit of paper and you can all see how different the two DJs chosen music was.

The most challenging part of the evening was the first though - after it was discovered that no-one had remembered any headphones... Using the force was required.

I've never managed two Skinny Puppy tracks before in the same set mind - I must be getting lazy.

I think disco pop is reasonably fair. Though with a bit more of an EBM/Alternative Edge.

I did the music for a uni event recently (I won't say "DJ'd", for that would be an insult to people who actually know how to do it) and arrived to find a large gap in the DJ booth where the desk was supposed to be.

A small-scale quest along the lines of "WHERE IS THE MIXDESK?!" ensued. Eventually we discovered it was being hoarded in King's porters' lodge. Which was most perplexing; do the porters have closet deejaying ambitions?!
Using the force is always good.

Some people enjoy making simple things so complicated...
