Doctor Who
The power of the Internet means that it was mere moments after the finish of the programme before LJ was working hard encouraging discourse, debate and predictions of "Outraged of Tunbridge Wells" going hammer and tongs in the press.

Without giving too much away, or adding anything to the comments I made on peoples journals I was left slightly disappointed. There were some clever moments, I watched, I laughed, I wanted to know what happens next. But it left me a little empty. The ending was too tidy and I was left with more "wtf?" than "Gosh, that was good".

Roll on Series 2 - though David Tennant seemed a bit "Oooh, Matron" in his single line.

Why are folks so "meh" about this episode, were the others that much better? It was better than that first 'living plastic' episode. I feel like I've missed something.

I think I realised when they set up that big Dalek happening at the end of last week that I didn't really trust them to resolve it in a decent fashion. At which point I realised I should probably stop pretending there was nothing wrong with the series.

It seemed just a little too,
and to perhaps use the phrase literally?,
"Deus ex Machina".

If the Tardis is THAT powerful, can't it solve "everything"?
I expected an ending where "what people did" mattered, not that, as it were, the Tardis had/was an unberflange lammie.

Others seem to think it is all connected to Tardis back plot over then entire Dr Who saga from year dot.

The Tardis has become the equivalent of Star Trek's transporter, able to solve any plot problem.

I think on balance I have not enjoyed this series. They seem to have slowly destroyed everything.

In fairness, they have at least established that using the TARDIS in that manner is in fact fatal.

Well, you know, fatal to somebody.
