How does one manage knowledge? What would be an alternative job title?

Librarian. Well, KM is really about being a proactive digital age Librarian, Information Collator, Researcher, etc.

Well unmanaged knowledge would be... well... just bad.
Imagine all the knowledge all taking leave at the same time, not having objectives aligned to the business vision and most probably not yet rightsized to meet budgetary constraints.

IMO you would be best outsourcing knowledge then you just need supplier management and can do without the overhead of knowledge management.

That's a new one on me, too (I'm not very career-minded). I had to look it up - it sounds like exactly the sort of job we could do with being filled here.

Unfortunately I'm happy where I am, even if it pays a pittance by comparison.

Why doesn't MY local library pay £40,000??

I'm struggling to find a decent job over £15,000!

I'll have it (though I doubt they'll give it to me!)

Email me the details anyway, you never know.
