Not a lot to report
Had a very quiet night last with the County Procurement Regulations. I waded through a huge file because I thought it was relevant and then found towards the end "Does not apply to schools". Grrrrr.

Other than that I watched The High Crusade which really wasn't terribly good - and Angel 5.22, twice. I've really warmed to Angel this season - and perhaps tonight I'll go back to Buffy - up to 7.21 are on the coffee table here.

Hmmm - better get into work soon too :-)

Buffy has been excellent for the past two series, but I've never been able to get into Angel. I think it has something to do with Boreanaz putting weight on. I know Xander has too, but he just reminds me of Mark.

County procurement regulations?

Is this some kind of new privatisation being introduced by the current Labour government? Such that they sell off counties to the private sector..
I suppose the private owners revenue will come from the local taxation system and this could be increased to cover sales tax etc. like we do in the other states of the USA. But who would the owners of these counties be accountable for and how would this differ from the current system?

Also it fits in well with introducing private roads into the system, paid for by tolls and the Universities being paid for by fees from the students.

And as I understand it from your LJ this does not apply to schools. I presume that these are to remain in state control and continue as under funded centres of academic apathy.

So which county are you thinking of purchasing?
