Photo Exhibition Help!
I've been invited to put some photos into a small exhbition in Shropshire - proving it's not "what you do" but "who you know". So, I'm after some suggestions of what are my most saleable pieces - to a general rather than muso audience.

So, I need help from all my friends list in picking out four pieces that might both show off what I can do, and what might sell.

Will this make you officially an exhibitionist? ;P

Pretty young girls not wearing much clothing or dramatic landscapes, I reckon.

Which is more important from this exhibition, selling the print, or selling what you can do.

(Actual choices will probably have to wait until I get home and can look at strange images on a computer monitor, which I really shouldn't in a big open plan office)

Good question - in this case - selling the print. It's a "local artists thing" rather than an industry/commissioning showcase.

Re: Suggestion...

Good suggestion. I'll think about it, but suspect the landlocked Shropshire might not be the best place for coastal shots.

I think I'll have to face the reality that I've just not got many decent suitable landscapes. I might go "twee" and dig out some of my Shropshire-English-Heritage photos.

I do like that one. Not sure of the wider appeal though.

I think I'll ransack my "people" rather than "music" portfolio for my shortlist.

Your best pic in my book!

admittedly my book is both thin and lacking a chapter on good photography

Go for the "beardy-larper" audience?

Did you get my email btw?

I liked the stained-glass ones quite a lot.

Ok. I suspect, like the English Heritage ones, that might contravene the "personal use only" for photographs in the museum - however I'll do some test prints and see how they look.

The top three aren't specific links - but let's face it that Gary Numan photo has to be up there in the top photos I've taken.

Haven't spent any time looking but the only one which springs to mind as something really super was the marble shot I said I liked. Will look at another time though - S's b'd today so taking him out for the night in 10 mins.
