Corrosive Shame
Therapy for Life
Following on from the "incident" on Saturday I went to the garage this morning to ask them to quote for the damage.

"Need a new bonnet mate. And a new bumper"
"How much?"
" £450 + parts + VAT"
"How much are the parts likely to be?"
"Oh, about £400".
"Riiiiight... let me get back to you on that one."

Now all I have to do is be patient and hope that I manage to get the claim sorted out. I phoned the other party's insurance this morning and was told I couldn't do anything yet as they hadn't reported it. So, at least a short delay before normal service...

That's alot of money...

Y'know, if you want some form of satisfaction and pay back I know these two guys. they're er, "very proficient" with baseball bats if you get my drift and have a certain degree of "moral flexibility"

I'm sure this woman won't miss her kneecaps...

No really, I _do_ know some people, Macc's full of lowlife scum...

I've spoken with our estimator to whom I said 'If my friend's Megane was a Bora etc etc'.

He said 'If your friend was a normal customer paying normal rates it would cost 840 + VAT'. 470 in labour and 370 for new bonnet and bumper. That would be for metallic paint. It looks like your quote isn't too far out for a franchised retailer. I'd check that you really do need the parts and that a smart repair couldn't be done. If you e-mail me a few photos I'll get the guys to check them out - not that I'm sure that that will hep will help you.
